Hospitals are the largest part of the unionized health care sector, but in response to the country's increasing disparities in health care access, workers at a variety of smaller sites and clinics have found innovative ways to organize, fight their bosses, and win representation, sometimes with little institutional union backing. Supported by new resources and technologies, these dedicated workers are fighting to make their workplaces better for themselves, their patients, and their communities.
